Working With Japanese Partners
Whether you are merging, setting up a joint-venture, launching in a new market, selling to new customers, or engaging new suppliers, the base premise is that you will be working with new partners. This can be difficult enough if they speak the same language and come from the same culture as you. It can be challenging, even frustrating, dealing with partners whose language, values and behaviour is different from yours. For many people, Japan, and the Japanese people, are an intriguing challenge; in some cases a complete mystery.
